Financial Fundamentals—Horizon Europe Funding Program

How to Build Visibility, Get Invited to Horizon Europe Consortia and Establish Partnerships

This webinar will provide strategic and practical tips to help researchers enhance their visibility to join competitive Horizon Europe proposals, and effectively build a consortium for their own proposals.

The following topics will be covered:

  • The rationale of consortia in EU research and innovation projects.
  • Roles in a Horizon Europe project: coordinator, partner, associated partner, affiliated entity, stakeholder, end-user, subcontractor 
  • What does it take to be a coordinator?  
  • Can you coordinate a proposal but not act as the official coordinator? 
  • How to analyse a call text to identify the right partnership and your role as a partner. 
  • How to become part of expert groups and working groups.
  • How to identify the key players and the “usual suspects”. 
  • How to prepare a partner profile/proposition to enter a consortium. 
  • EU platforms, networks, initiatives and events: Funding & Tenders Portal, CORDIS, Info Days, Brokerage Days, European Partnerships, Mission boards, etc.

Horizon Europe and Canada Online Matchmaking Event:
Bridging the Atlantic – Health 2025 (Cluster 1)

Thursday, March 27 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET

This online partnering event is for 2025 Horizon Europe Pillar 2 Health (Cluster 1) project calls. It is hosted by ISED, Canada’s Head of Innovation in Brussels, EIT Global, and country partners. The first part of the session will provide an overview of the calls with best practices, followed by partner countries’ strengths and interests. The second part will provide moderated breakout rooms where participants can share their two-minute pitches and connect with potential partners. All are invited to REGISTER and provide their pitch for the project call(s) they wish to pursue for possible partnering.
