The intent of the CCS Breakthrough Team Grants model is to bring together passionate and talented teams of scientists, clinicians, patient partners, and knowledge users from across disciplines to work synergistically and ?think big? to address important gaps in cancer research that will be transformational for people affected by the disease. |

Application Details: |
For this competition there is a limit of one application per Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator.
Teams will be expected to be drawn from at least 3 Canadian provinces; be multi-disciplinary in composition; include clinical and other health professionals, patient partners/people with lived experience (termed people affected by cancer), and knowledge users. Teams must also include at least one early career investigator as a Co-Principal Investigator, and at least 3 trainees at the Master?s, PhD, or Postdoctoral levels as well as a project manager.Please review the application guide (to be released after LOI results are announced) and evaluation criteria prior to submitting your full application.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
