Description: |
Heart & Stroke is pleased to launch the Postdoctoral Personnel Awards
for the 2025/26 funding year. The objective of the competition is to increase the number of researchers and
clinician-scientists in Canadian universities and research institutions devoted specifically to cardiovascular
and/or cerebrovascular health. The stipends awarded will enable Postdoctoral Fellows to pursue their
program of research and engage with mentors as part of their training. Heart & Stroke will contribute a maximum of $60,000 ($30,000 per year for up to two (2) years) per award recipient, and the host institution will contribute at least the same amount per year per award recipient. |

Applications must be submitted online using CIRCUlink (Heart & Stroke?s online research programs portal) by 4:00 PM ET September 5, 2024.
Applicants are expected to download the Signatures Page from CIRCUlink and secure the required signatures (institutional signature, supervisor(s) signature, and applicant signature). The institutional signature must be by an individual with signing authority for the institution which is obtained through Western Research Services.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
