Description:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is a national organization dedicated to raising funds to support basic and clinical research in Canada, in the field of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers. Funds for competitive applications will be awarded solely on the basis of scientific merit, using a priority rating, and will include evaluation of ethical research. New investigators as well as established ones are encouraged to submit applications. Applicants must have a faculty appointment at a Canadian univeristy.

Research sponsored by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on blood cancers ranges from basic research that utilizes the latest tools of genomics (gene structure and function analysis) to studies that translate basic discoveries to new treatments. All applications must be made using the operating grant application form on Proposal Central. Incomplete applications and those which exceed page limits will not be considered.

Application Details:

Funding is provided in support of operating costs of research (including minor equipment). Applications will be approved for two years, with the possibility of a renewal on subsequent full application for up to two additional years. Renewals will be judged with all other submitted applications.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required.
