Genome Canada?s Indigenous Genomics Training and Capacity program is designed to strengthen First Nations, M?tis and Inuit technical, social scientific and community capacities1 to engage with and conduct genomics research in ways that uphold and advance Indigenous rights to self-determination. |

Application Details: |
The project must be Indigenous-led and actively engaged with Indigenous communities.
Project leaders and team members must be affiliated with an eligible institution.The Indigenous Genomics Training and Capacity program will include a one stage application process. Applicants are required to apply through Genome Canada?s Proposal Central Portal through a regional Genome Centre.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
