The Centre for Environment and Sustainability (CES) invites graduate students to submit abstracts for oral presentations (12 mins) on research related to environment and sustainability for this year’s EnviroCon event. We highly encourage collaborative and/or interdisciplinary work that is accessible to a diverse and broad audience.
The theme of EnviroCon 2018 is Community Engagement- focusing on the benefits and challenges of engaging the local community in environmental stewardship. Though the theme for the event is Community Engagement, we highly encourage all research topics related to the Environment and Sustainability. The event will feature a series of professional and community speakers to help guide our exploration of this topic, an interactive workshop and booth session, as well as a general-audience panel discussion on motivating sustainable food practices on the community level. We are excited to be hosting invited speakers from academic and community organizations, including Dr. Kate Parizeau (University of Guelph), Andrew Fleet (Growing Chefs London), and Richie Bloomfield (Urban Roots London). This event aims to bring together students, faculty, and community members involved in environmental and sustainability research and programs.
Submission Deadline: February 16, 2018 @ 5:00pm EST
