Local Impact For Tomorrow (LIFT)
The Local Impact For Tomorrow (LIFT) was created to connect Health Sciences, Schulich, and Sciences students to volunteering opportunities in the London and Middlesex community. LIFT makes it easy for organizations to post needs, and for students to respond to these needs.
| 1 Student completes modules on LIFT Brightspace site |
2 Partner organizations post volunteer opportunities on the platform (Get Connected) |

Please email lift@uwo.ca to connect with our team.
What would be expected from us as a community partner?
- Manage volunteer postings, including messaging students who have signed up, to provide next steps
- Keep organization's profile on Get Connected updated
- Sign an affiliation agreement with Western (This agreement must be in place before volunteer opportunities can be posted)
- We would love to see you at our LIFT events on campus
We have our own volunteer onboarding process. Will we need to exempt LIFT students?
No. While students are required to complete learning modules and pass a quiz to participate in LIFT, they must still complete the onboarding process (e.g., volunteer forms, interviews, police checks) and any training required by you.
