My research and teaching integrate concepts and methods from population genetics, conservation biology, landscape ecology, and metapopulation ecology. We work in the field and lab to investigate factors that shape the genetic diversity, and spatial genetic structure, of populations. Applied aspects of our research relate to the conservation of species at risk, habitat fragmentation, and the impacts of a changing climate.
