How to Register a Team for CCAA Training

Greybox

Organizations registering multiple staff must follow a few simple steps to ensure a smooth training experience. Group leaders are responsible for submitting participant information, supporting learners throughout the course, and coordinating logistics with the CCAA team.

Learn what to expect—step by step—from registration to certification.

Step-by-Step Overview

Step 1: Submit Participant List

Group leaders must provide a list of all participants no later than 7 days before the course start date. The list must include each participant’s:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Mailing address

This allows the CCAA to:

  • Create individual MyCCAA accounts (our online registration system)
  • Enroll participants in the appropriate course

Step 2: Invoicing

An invoice for total registration fees will be sent to the group leader after the first day of the course.

Group Leader Expectations

The group leader is responsible for:

  • Communicating course and certification expectations to participants before enrolling them in the session
  • Supporting participants throughout the 14-hour online learning portion
  • Ensuring participants are ready for the final in-person or face-to-face sessions

Course Completion and Certification

To receive certification, each participant must:

  • Complete all coursework, assignments, and practical sessions
  • Complete 18 hours of mentorship
  • Successfully pass the final evaluation

Participants who finish the course requirements will receive a Record of Completion. Instructor candidates who meet all SFIC certification requirements within six months will receive a Seniors’ Fitness Instructor Course (SFIC) Certificate, valid for two years. Certified instructors will have access to continuing education opportunities during the certification cycle before renewal is required.
