Graduate Programs
Western offers two distinct and unique interdisciplinary graduate programs in Environment and Sustainability. Both programs are open to students from all disciplines.
The Master in Environment and Sustainability Program (MES) is course-based co-op program, completed in one full year of study. The program is designed for students who are interested in preparation for a career in this broad field, following graduation. Only those registered in the MES program can enroll in MES courses.
The Specialization in Environment and Sustainability is an enrichment program offered to graduate students already enrolled and completing a research degree at Western. The program is designed for students engaged in research that is relatable to the environment and/or sustainability and who would like to expand their academic experience while at university. There are no additional fees associated with program participation.
