Prairie Tornado Update (#1)
There are been many severe weather events on the Prairies over the last several weeks, including a number of tornadoes. This update relates to one tornado in MB on July 9th and three tornadoes in SK on July 15. There's more on the way soon (will be update #2, and may need an update #3).July 9th

Description: Witness reported a brief tornado over an open field and captured photos of the associated funnel cloud aloft east of Argyle. As no damage was reported or discovered during satellite imagery review, the EF-Scale damage assessment is EF0-Default.

Description: Witnesses captured video and photos of a tornado south of Allan. Satellite imagery review of the area revealed an 850 m long track of crop damage (max. path width of 160 m). Tornado motion was from the NE (approx 45 degrees). As no official damage indicators appear to have been impacted, EF-Scale damage assessment is EF0-Default.

Description: Witnesses reported a tornado and captured video and photos of the associated funnel cloud aloft near Avonhurst. No reports of property damage have been received at this time, though witnesses confirm lofted tree and grass debris falling from the sky in the immediate vicinity. Pending further investigation (satellite imagery review), the preliminary the EF-Scale damage assessment is EF0-Default.
