Tornado Outbreak in Alberta
A tornado outbreak occurred late in the day on June 14th in southern Alberta, documented mainly through photographs and video by storm chasers (NTP Super-Contributors Kyle Brittain and Darren Howard, also Braydon Morriseau).
Preliminary analysis indicates that 10 tornadoes occurred in total, with 9 over land and 1 over water. At this time, all are rated EF0-Default. Additional investigation, possibly including NTP ground/drone surveys, will be required to ensure the accuracy of the EF ratings and track details.
NTP will be also collaborating with ECCC's PASPC to gather more information and investigate the storm type for each event.
