Corrosion, Equity, Diversity, Environment and Society

Improve your ability to acknowledge and mitigate the negative societal impacts of corrosion.

Our Modules

CEDES 1 introduces students to the processes of corrosion with a focus on environmental pollution and health outcomes through the lens of Indigenous perspectives, discrimination, gender and international experiences. This training is delivered in an online synchronous and hybrid format.

CEDES 2 provides trainees with the opportunity to elaborate on material-ethical questions identified during their Corrosion Science Experience. In trainee-centred seminars, students increase their understanding of the importance of sustainability, human rights and decolonization as it relates to the environmental and social impact of corrosion and material research. This training is delivered in an online synchronous and hybrid format.
