Andrew Hrymak
Professor, Chemical and Biochemical EngineeringResearch Interests / Specializations: Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
Teaching: Modeling, design and optimization of materials processing systems, in particular: composites processing, injection molding, compression molding, mixing liquid coating flows, and complex rheology.
Biography: Andrew Hrymak (P.Eng, FCIC, FCAE, Ph.D., Carnegie Mellon; B.Eng., McMaster) is a Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and Director of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Composites Research at Western University. His research focuses on polymer composites. He previously served as Provost, Vice-President Academic, and Dean of Engineering at Western. At McMaster, he was Department Chair, and Director of both the McMaster Manufacturing Research Institute and the Walter G. Booth School of Engineering Practice.
