Our Management Advantage

Designed to enhance your undergraduate degree in science or related disciplines in social science or engineering, our professional masters allows you to fast- track your career with foundational management education. This 12-month course and Co-op/internship based Master of Management of Applied Science (MMASc) is designed for students coming from non-business backgrounds.

The MMASc program strategically combines core management curriculum with opportunities to build and focus your unique set of in-demand business skills. Employers look for graduates who not only bring outstanding skills and knowledge, but can also apply it successfully in organizations. This professional masters degree helps bridge the gap between your undergraduate education and the management skills required to succeed in your career.

In your first 8 months as an MMASc student, you will receive essential management and stream-specific training along with mentoring from faculty, local and international partners.

In your final term, the MMASc program takes you beyond traditional and case-based learning and into a professional environment where you will actively apply your newly acquired skills in positions with partner organizations. This term culminates in a Capstone event where you and your MMASc peers share, reflect and learn from experiences over the past 12 months.

After graduation you join a group of successful alumni from across the globe. As a student, you will have a chance to connect with alumni who return to Western to speak to incoming MMASc students about the benefits of this intensive program and future career opportunities.
