Board of Governors By-Election - Undergraduate Student Constituency

Elections will be held for one undergraduate student representative on the Board of Governors for a term from October 23, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Nominations open Monday, September 29. The election schedule, election procedures, and Nominations Form are available on the Board of Govenors elections webpage. 

Call for Nominations: Honorary Degrees Committee

Members of the Western community are invited to nominate distinguished candidates to be considered for the conferral of an Honorary Degree. For consideration at Spring Convocation ceremonies, nominations are due on October 30. Visit the Honorary Degrees webpage for further information.

Volunteer for Autumn 2025 Convocation!

Convocation for Autumn 2025 graduates will take place from October 22 - 23, 2025 at Canada Life Place. The Order of Ceremony provides the schedule for ceremonies.

Autumn Convocation 2025: Academic Procession

We welcome members of Faculty, Senate, Librarians, Archivists, the Board of Governors and Emeritus/a Professors/Librarians/Archivists to join the Academic Procession and be present on-stage.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP via our online form by  Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Kindly note that stage space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Get Involved: Western's Senate & Board of Governors Elections Information Session

Open to faculty, staff, and students, this session will offer an overview of Western’s governance structure and how you can run in upcoming elections. Hear directly from peers who’ve served on Senate and the Board of Governors – why they joined, what they’ve learned, and the impact they’ve made.
