Junette Tindan, BA

Junette will be joining the lab as a combined MCISc/PhD student in Speech-Language Pathology and Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (Speech and Language Science) at Western University, supervised by Dr. Olivia Daub. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at Western University with a double major in Rehabilitation Sciences and French Studies. Her doctoral research will focus on developing a clinically meaningful evaluation tool to inform automatic speech recognition in analyzing preschool children’s speech and language through a series of interconnected research projects. |

Alexandra Jackson, BA

Alexandra is completing her MSc in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences (Speech and Language Science). She completed her HBA in Cognitive Science of Language at McMaster University. Her master's thesis focuses on the relationship between acoustic measures of vowels in preschoolers' speech and caregiver-reported intelligibility.

Emma Wand, BA

Emma is completing a MSc in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (Speech and Language Science) at Western University under the supervision of Dr. Olivia Daub. She previously completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Research-Intensive Specialization and a minor in Sociology at the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on canonical babbling and early vocal development in infants. For her thesis, Emma is conducting a scoping review examining how canonical babbling is defined and measured in infants under 24 months of age. |
