Board of Governors ratifies UWOSA agreement – August 19, 2024

On August 19, 2024, Western's Board of Governors ratified a new collective agreement with members of the University of Western Ontario Staff Association (UWOSA). 

The tentative agreement was reached July 22 and ratified by UWOSA members on August 2.

Western University and University of Western Ontario Staff Association (UWOSA) reach tentative agreement – July 22, 2024

Western University and the University of Western Ontario Staff Association (UWOSA) have reached a tentative agreement which the negotiating teams have jointly agreed to recommend to their respective parties.

The agreement will require the ratification of UWOSA members and Western’s Board of Governors.

UWOSA represents about 900 full and sessional staff members at Western.

UWOSA Bargaining Update – June 26, 2024

The University and the University of Western Ontario Staff Association (UWOSA) have set dates in July to begin negotiating a new collective agreement. The current collective agreement is scheduled to end on June 30, 2024.

The University is committed to achieving a negotiated agreement with UWOSA.
