Biography: Yusuf Kabba serves as the National President for the Sierra Leone Association of Ebola Survivors (SLAES). The SLAES was established in January 2015 to seek and ensure protection and welfare of its 11,000 registered members comprised of Ebola survivors, orphans, widows and widowers. In recognition of the outstanding service provided by SLAES during the fight against Ebola Virus Disease in Sierra Leone, Mr. Kabba was awarded an Ebola Gold Medal by H.E. Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone. Mr. Kabba has worked with Clinical RM-Africa as a consultant, responsible for supervising the Multiple Ebola Survivor Recovery Programs in Sierra Leone. His work revolved around survivorship management and research consulting services. His efforts in advocating towards Ebola Survivors welfare have been recognized by Health Network Sierra Leone. Mr. Kabba has taught social studies and served as a school bursar in the Kono District. He has facilitated multiple capacity building trainings for rural actors. His work in rural communities has allowed him to develop a motivation to relate with people from diverse backgrounds.
