Why did you choose Arts and Humanities at Western?
I chose Arts and Humanities because it has a variety of courses that all relate to my interests. The courses are very stimulating and the professors are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Western is conveniently located in my hometown, but I chose it because it’s a great school with a variety of people and a unique student experience.
What is one highlight of your Arts and Humanities experience so far?
One highlight of my experience in the Arts and Humanities so far is the relationship that I have formed with my professors and with other students. I am surrounded by a group of individuals who all share similar interests. The sense of community within my program has made my experience a lot more exciting and enjoyable.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after graduation is to do a post-grad diploma or certificate program, and eventually my Masters in Graphic Design. I ultimately would like to be a graphic artist.
What advice would you give to incoming Arts and Humanities students?
My advice to an incoming Arts and Humanities student is to be open-minded to learning new things, even if you don’t have any previous experience. Take courses that look interesting; you never know what you will learn.
What is the best thing about your program?
The best thing about the Digital Humanities program is the variety of different topics covered by the courses. Whether it is computer science, coding, entrepreneurship, visual art, or history, there is something for everyone.
