15th International Symposium for Olympic and Paralympic Research Rescheduled: ‘Emerging Technologies and Emerging Sports in the COVID-19 Era
Rescheduled Date and Format
The 15th International Symposium for Olympic and Paralympic Research, titled "Emerging Technologies and Emerging Sports in the COVID-19 Era," has been rescheduled and will be hosted by the International Centre for Olympic Studies (ICOS) as a virtual event on October 15 and 16, 2021.
Scholars, researchers, students, and professionals interested in the socio-cultural study of the modern Olympic and Paralympic Games are invited to submit abstracts for conference presentations. Papers in areas such as history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, political science, cultural studies, and sport management, as well as other disciplines that contribute to our cultural understanding of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, are particularly encouraged. Proposals for thematic sessions are also welcome.
Previously submitted abstracts will automatically be considered by the Program Committee. All abstracts and presentations will be published in the ICOS Symposium Proceedings and considered for publication in our journal, Olympika.

The Robert K. Barney Graduate Student Essay Prize, $500 USD
Deadline
The deadline for new abstract (250-300 words) submissions is August 30, 2021. Contributors will be notified about the status of their abstracts by September 15, 2021.
