We are excited to announce that the 2024 Advances in Earth Science Research Conference (AESRC) will be held at Western University in London, Ontario.
The AESRC committee is now accepting registration and abstract submissions for this year’s conference. Any student (BSc., MSc., PhD.) performing geoscience research is encouraged to participate. Topics may include, but are not limited to planetary science, environmental geoscience, geophysics, petrology and mineralogy, geography, economic geology, paleontology and sedimentology, tectonics, and geochemistry.
The conference will take place from March 22nd to 24th, 2024 at the Western Research Park; located a stone’s throw from main campus. Students will have the opportunity to share their work with researchers and professionals from around Canada in poster format. All posters presented will be eligible for prizes.
Additionally, students are encouraged to sign up to give a 15-minute technical talk on their work in addition to their poster presentation.
GET INVOLVED IN AESRC 2024
In order to participate in AESRC 2024 students MUST do the following:
- Registration: Indicate your interest in the event by completing our online Registration Form before February 14th, 2024. Spaces are limited. In order to register you must include: your name, institution, degree, the category you plan on submitting under, and interest in presenting a technical talk.
- Abstract Submission: Abstracts must be submitted using the Abstract Submission Form and will be accepted through March 1st, 2024. Students who did not indicate interest to present a technical talk during registration will have the opportunity to do so here as well.
Upon submission of a successful abstract, participants will receive information to register themselves for the conference. As this is a student-oriented conference, fees have been kept to a minimum to ensure the greatest amount of participation for students. Conference fees will be
$45 +HST*, payable to the AESRC committee upon submission of a successful abstract.
