TMS System

The Cognitive Neuroscience Research Facility at WIRB has a dedicated transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) testing space, as well as several other testing areas (e.g. Kinematics and Robot Arm rooms) that are TMS-capable. Researchers using TMS methods can investigate interconnected neural activity by stimulating a local region of the brain in a non-invasive way, and by measuring how this interferes with a specific task. TMS systems are capable of single- and dual-pulse, rTMS, and theta-burst.
