Christian Maire

Christian Maire is a Professor in Mathematics at the Université de Franche-Compté in Besançon and was named professor classe exceptionelle by the French Council in Mathematics in 2020. Since January 2021, Dr. Maire has been the Chair of the Collegium “Sciences Fondamentales et Sciences pour l’Ingénieur” at the Université de Franche-Compté. Dr. Maire is an internationally recognized leader in number theory and has broad expertise in discrete mathematics, coding theory, and graph theory. Dr. Maire has held visiting positions at Cornell University and McGill University and has been deeply involved with mathematics outreach internationally, including organizing highly successful summer schools in Gabon, Bénin, and Cameroon.
