Theme Proposal Timelines
Below is an outline of the anticipated timeline for our current competition.
Not all proposals worthy of funding can necessarily be funded in a given year. The annual cycle will provide opportunity for their timely resubmission.
February 2023 Competition Timeline
January 13, 2023
The Academy Steering Committee put out a call for Letters-of-Intent (LOIs).
February 27, 2023
Letters-of-Intent are due by noon. By mid-March, the Steering Committee will have reviewed LOIs and invite successful principal applicants—usually the theme leaders—to submit a full theme proposal.
June 12, 2023
Full proposals will be due.
June-July, 2023
The Academic Steering Committee will interview principal applicants.
August 2023
Feedback and/or decisions provided to principal applicants.
September-November 2023
Onboarding process for successful applicants.
September 1, 2024 or January 1, 2025
Official first day of theme and core team activities.
