Content Creators:

Shaowda Salehin (she/her)

"I am a writer by practice but a reader by nature because I am obsessed with learning about other people’s experiences and walking in their shoes! As a fourth-year Honours Biology and English student, I have written so many lab reports and essays that writing has become my sense of purpose - whatever I do with my career, I know I will continue to write and THRIVE in that way!"

Favourite Quote: “We loved with a love that was more than love” - Edgar Allan Poe

Hidden Talent: I can flip my skateboard into the air with my right foot and catch it in my right hand (in mid-air!) -  call that great coordination!

Biggest Pet Peeve: It is so frustrating to me when people walk slowly and drag their feet in a crowd - walk with a sense of direction and urgency please, we’ve got places to be and things to do!

Digital Peer Leaders:

Johann Cardenas (he/him)

"I am in my third year completing an Honours Specialization in Bioinformatics. I really enjoy writing for Thrive Online because it gives me a creative outlet, and I can share some of my experiences so other students going through something similar don’t feel so alone."
