Skype, Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, Google Duo/Hangouts, Zoom and many more have helped families and friends stay physically distanced, but not emotionally or socially distanced.
Personally, Zoom has been the main way I communicate virtually with friends and colleagues. This video chatting platform really came out of nowhere! The first time I used Zoom, it was amazing to see large groups, nearly 100 people, in the same video chat. From group discussions for a class project to hanging out with friends or having meetings with colleagues, Zoom has been my surprising go-to for keeping in touch during this pandemic.
