Winter has definitely made itself known this year. With snowstorms across all of Ontario, it's hard to stop and take in the winter wonderland around us when you’re being blasted with snow as you're trekking to class. And as much as we are all looking forward to Spring, we need to take time to smell those winter covered roses. Here are some activities that will keep you warm on the inside and make those days until spring slips a little faster.
Speaking of Slipping... Boler Mountain

If you are literally looking to slip through these winter days, Boler Mountain is the place for you. Boler Mountain located at 689 Griffith Street, just a short drive from campus, is the perfect escape into winter fun to take a break from the books. For skiing or snowboarding, equipment is available for rent on-site. Boler also offers flexible options like four-hour tickets and evening passes, so you don't have to commit to a full day. Plus, University and College Wednesdays offer discounted lift tickets and rentals with a valid student ID.
If skiing or snowboarding feels too much commitment, snow tubing is a fun alternative. With no experience required, it's an easy way to enjoy the snow. Tickets allow you to zoom down the hill as many times as you can within 2 hours. And for a more discounted price, Boler offers a Wednesday night special.
