Project Summary
Alumni Hall is Western’s multi-purpose venue for indoor sports and events, including basketball and volleyball, and other academic activities.
Beginning in May 2026, Alumni Hall will be renovated to modernize and improve the space for future student-athlete and university use. This includes using Alumni Hall as a temporary classroom until the Bioconvergence project is complete.
Upgrades will include:
- New gym flooring for games and events
- Improved accessibility to mezzanine level
- Improved seating for students and guests
- Modernized mechanical system – new air handling units (AHUs)
- New technology such as video boards
- Improved public washroom facilities on first floor
