This unique collection is designated a national treasure under the Canadian Cultural Property Act. It consists of the personal papers and official records donated to the Centre by James Worrall (1914-2011). The full collection details his lifetime involvement in the Olympic Movement, including but not limited to his role as athlete and flag-bearer (1936 Summer Olympic Games); member of the Amateur Athletic Union of Canada (President from 1951-1953); longtime member of the Canadian Olympic Association (President from 1961-1968); and member of the International Olympic Committee (1967-1989), where he served on the Executive Council from 1974-1979.
