15th International Symposium for Olympic and Paralympic Research

The 15th International Symposium for Olympic Research has been rescheduled and will be hosted by the International Centre for Olympic Studies (ICOS) as a virtual Symposium on October 15th and 16th, 2021. 


Scholars, researchers, students, and professionals interested in the socio-cultural study of the modern Olympic or Paralympic Games are invited to submit abstracts for conference presentations. Papers in the areas of history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, political science, cultural studies, and sport management, as well as other disciplines that contribute to our cultural understanding of the Olympic and Paralympic Games are particularly encouraged. Proposals for thematic sessions are also invited.

Previously submitted abstracts will automatically be considered by the Program Committee. All abstracts and/or presentations will be published in the ICOS Symposium Proceedings and be considered for publication in our Journal Olympika.

Deadline:

The deadline for the new abstract (250 - 300 words) submission is August 30th, 2021. Contributors will be notified about the status of their abstracts by September 15th, 2021.

Early registration (by September 20th): 100 CAD

Late registration: 150 CAD
Students 45 CAD
