Research

Dr. Monika Lee’s main research interest is European Romanticism, in particular the writings of Percy Bysshe Shelley on which she has published a monograph, plus 15 articles and chapters. In addition, she has published numerous essays on Canadian literature. She has written two poetry books (gravity loves the body 2008, If water breathes 2019), two poetry chapbooks, short fiction, a stage play, a libretto, and dozens of poems in literary journals and anthologies such as The Fiddlehead, Canadian Literature, The Antigonish Review, vallum: contemporary poetry, The Dalhousie Review, The Nashwaak Review, The Windsor Review, and Event. She won Brescia’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and served as Chair of Brescia’s School of Humanities.
