Commercialization Training and Funding
Western’s Technology Transfer Office helps to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and real-world impact. We offer researchers training on essential commercialization skills, from market analysis to business model development. In partnership with the Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, we offer a variety of commercialization training programs for researchers and students.
Graduate Student Innovation Scholars
This program is designed for graduate students interested in entrepreneurship, commercialization and knowledge transfer. Our program guides you in creating substantial value from a research technology we provide as a case study. You’ll learn to bridge the gap between innovative technologies and market needs, craft intellectual property strategies and navigate the complexities of commercialization.
WE-Empower!
Ready to bring your research to market? The WE-Empower! program provides women innovators at Western with the mentorship and training in entrepreneurship, commercialization and IP they need to succeed.
This in-person educational program complements your research and helps you build the skills and network to take your ideas to the next level.
