I enjoy working at the WSRC because I like being around other hard working individuals who do everything they can to make the WSRC an inclusive and welcoming environment!

Why do you enjoy working at Campus Recreation and in the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC)?

I enjoy working at the WSRC because I like being around other hard working individuals who do everything they can to make the WSRC an inclusive and welcoming environment!

What are the best parts about your position?

Since started at the WSRC, I’ve become more familiar with the gym and the people who come here often, making a better gym community. Meeting new people has been so fun, like I mentioned in the last question. I also get my steps in every shift!

Why do you enjoy working at Campus Recreation and in the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC)?

I get paid to grow alongside some of the most wonderful and caring individuals. I have encountered hundreds of new staff and each one has had a positive impact on my life. Michelle Harvey has created a work environment that I will never find elsewhere and I am forever grateful to her.

I get to lead and support a team of FCA’s and I get to work with my friends :)

A random fun fact about me is that I used to be a competitive gymnast.

I love the friendships with fellow coworkers and the motivation it gives me to stay active. Definitely the best job on campus.

I’m a dragon boat world champion

The WSRC staff is really one big family! Everyone has everyone’s back and the job allows you to meet so many people amazing people across so many programs you likely wouldn’t have been able to meet otherwise

What is your favourite way to be active?

Volleyball, soccer, and the gym!!

What is a random fun fact about yourself?

I’ve broken my left arm four times

I enjoy engaging in conversations with the public, and making sure they have fun while staying safe!

I enjoy swimming, as well as biking with friends!

What are the best parts about your position?

My favourite part about my position has been having the opportunity to develop my teaching and leadership skills through being an instructor for advanced lifesaving courses such as bronze medallion and standard first aid! I also really enjoy seeing all the different types of rentals that come in from the London community!

What is your favourite way to be active?

My favourite way to be active is to come to the WSRC for a swim!

 Why do you enjoy working at Campus Recreation and in the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC)?

Working at the Rec allows me to stay connected with the UWO community. Every day, while walking around campus I’ll see someone I met at the WSRC.

What are the best parts about your position?

The best part is seeing the regulars and helping them work to achieve their goals. From building a racing stroke to physical fitness it’s awesome to see people working hard everyday

What is your favourite way to be active?

Playing sports, specifically soccer, swimming, ultimate frisbee or skiing
