    Black History Month

    February is Black History Month and Sports & Recreation will be honouring and celebrating the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. The origin of Black History Month dates back to 1926 when Carter G. Woodson, known as the "father of Black history", encouraged people of all backgrounds to discuss the Black experience.     Student Staff Recognition Award

    Campus Recreation recognizes our exceptional student staff each month, selected by their community and supervisors for exceeding expectations, practicing an exceptional work ethic, and bringing valuable contributions to the team. We are pleased to recognize all our winners for September-December 2022. Moving forward, we will be recognizing our student staff winners each month throughout the academic year, September-April.     Sports & Recreation Strategic Plan

    Sports & Recreation at Western University has been undergoing a strategic planning process for the past 12 months, to ensure the area aligns with Western's new Strategic plan: Towards Western at 150, as well as the Student Experience Strategic Plan, and to set our Game Plan for the next six years. We are pleased to announce that our plan has launched and we look forward to working towards positioning Western University Sports & Recreation as a leader in sport and recreation in Canada.  (Read full entry)

    Welcome Back!

    Welcome back Mustangs to the Winter 2023 term. There's a lot going on at Western Campus Recreation. The WSRC reopens on Thursday January 5, 2023; to see specific hours visit our hours page. The Pool is scheduled to reopen on January 11. Visit the hours page for more details. Now is a great time to sign up for Personal Training.
