    Recreational Sport Clubs Winter 2023 Recap

    Western had 18 Recreational Sport Clubs running programming in 2022-23. Clubs are open to all Western students and are a great way to get involved in our campus community, meet new people, and access new and enriching experiences.     Esports Tournament - FREE to enter

    Western Esports Intramurals are back for Winter 2023 with three upcoming tournaments. There is no registration fee and registration starts March 6 and ends on Friday, March 10 @ 11:59PM EST.     WSRC Pool Reopened

    UPDATE Feb 12, 2023: The WSRC Pool has reopened as of 2pm. Posted Feb 11, 2023: Due to an unexpected brief power outage in the WSRC, the pool pumps are currently not operational and therefore the pool will be closed and all pool programming cancelled on Sunday, February 12. We are working to get things back up and open as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. (Read full entry)

    Adjusted Pool Hours this week for the 2023 OUA Swimming Championships

    Western will be hosting the OUA (provincial) Swimming Championships this week in the Western Student Recreation Centre, February 9-11, 2023. 10+ schools from across the province will be competing, including our Western Mustangs.     February is Black History Month and Sports & Recreation will be honouring and celebrating the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. The origin of Black History Month dates back to 1926 when Carter G. Woodson, known as the "father of Black history", encouraged people of all backgrounds to discuss the Black experience.
