Fitness Assessment
Member Price $24.99         

There are many components to fitness, including body composition (percentage body fat vs. lean body mass), cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. Each component is a page in the story of your overall fitness.

Our 30-minute personalized fitness assessment measures all of these components, plus girth measurements and a postural analysis, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of your starting point and what is required to achieve your fitness goals. Additionally, your initial assessment will provide a benchmark from which to measure your progress towards your fitness goals. The assessment will center around utilizing a SECA body composition analyzer, and you will be given a printed report of your body measurements.

2 Personal Training Sessions
This package is designed for existing clients, and includes a one-hour assessment appointment and one personal training session.

This package is for:
  • A program check-up of current or past (last 6 months) personal training client
  • Individuals in need of professional advice and guidance on the development of an existing basic fitness/strength training program
  • Experienced fitness participants seeking guidance on specific fitness training areas
  • One fitness assessment is included in this package
  • Health/medical history review
  • Exercise history review and review of goals and progress
  • Review/recommendations with current program

 NOTE: All program packages expire 4 months after the initial assessment

4 Personal Training Sessions
This package is optimal for a Personal Trainer to design a personal fitness program that is uniquely yours. This package includes a one-hour assessment and three one hour personal training sessions. This package is ideal for newer members or exercisers who wish to have a program designed to educate, motivate and track success.

This package may include but is not limited to:
  • One fitness assessment is included in this package
  • Exercise history review
  • Personal goal profile
  • Development of an exercise program
  • Training sessions

NOTE: All program packages expire 4 months after the initial assessment

Packages of 8 / 12 / 20 Personal Training Sessions
Multiple session packages offer members on-going Trainer support and fitness program development to achieve your program goals. Members also benefit from purchasing multiple sessions at discounted rates. These packages include 2 fitness assessments. These packages may include, but are not limited to, the same elements of the 4-session package with an emphasis on specific long-term goals and/or motivation. 

Multiple personal training session packages are great for...

  • Continual support, guidance and feedback on your training progress
  • Developing a positive client/trainer relationship enhancing long-term success
  • Perfect for those members whom get bored easily or lack motivation working out on their own, or need to be held accountable

Experienced Individuals Can Expect:

Commit To Fit Program
12-week Fit system Promotes exercise adherence, motivation, and correct technique.

  • Initial Consultation and assessment with a personal trainer
  • Three one hour sessions for 12 weeks (34 hours)
  • Final Consultation and assessment

NOTE: this program package expires 4 months after the initial assessment.

All personal training services must be paid for at Membership Services. Once payment is received, a personal training staff will contact you within two business days to schedule an appointment. Phone payments can be made (519 661.3090) with credit card information. Clients must complete a Lifestyle Questionnaire and Par-Q. If the client answers "yes" to any questions on the Par-Q, a medical clearance (Par Med-X) is required before the appointment can occur.

Cancellation Policy
Personal trainer must be notified 24 hours in advance of scheduled sessions. You must receive verbal confirmation of cancellation from the trainer. If you do not appear for a scheduled appointment or fail to give 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the full session. Please call if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late for a session. Personal trainers will only wait 15 minutes for late arrivals and your sessions will start from the time agreed upon.

Refund Policy
If you purchase a Personal Training Sessions and cannot finish the sessions due to health issues, you are eligible for a refund for unused sessions minus a 15% processing fee. You must provide documentation from your physician to receive this refund. This refund is based upon the approval from the Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available upon request for any Campus Recreation service. Personal training gift certificates are a great gift for Campus Recreation members. When redeeming a gift certificate for a personal training service, the gift certificate must be presented when booking appointments. Therefore, appointments must be booked in-person.

All personal training packages expire four months after the first session.

REGISTRATION/SIGN UP - visit the Welcome Desk in the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC) during regular hours. All Personal Training packages are only available for registration in person.
