Western Campus Recreation - Planned Maintenance Closures, May 2026
Western Campus Recreation will be completing its annual facility maintenance and upgrades in early May at the Western Student Recreation Centre (WSRC).
Closure Schedule:
- WSRC Building: May 4–8, 2026
- Pool: May 1–10, 2026
These scheduled closures are part of our yearly maintenance cycle and are essential to ensuring a safe, high-quality experience for all members.
Planned Work Includes:
Facility and Program Spaces
- Sanding and recoating of the triple hardwood gymnasium floor
- Sanding and recoating of both studio hardwood floors
Aquatics
- General pool maintenance
- Upgrades to the pool filtration system
Building Maintenance and Upgrades
- Floor repairs
- Drywall and door repairs
- Locker maintenance
- Shower updates
- Ceiling tile replacement
- Painting of stairwells
- Window replacements
- LED clock installation (pending schedule)
- Additional minor repairs and improvements throughout the facility
