Mihara Cerebrovascular Disorder Research Award - 2016

The Mihara Award is a grant of ¥10,000,000 (approx. $100,000) over one year for researchers from any country whose work is in the field of cerebrovascular disorders, whether in basic or clinical science, and has the potential to serve and contribute either directly or indirectly to the advancement of prevention and treatment of those disorders. The winner submits a 1200-word abstract suitable for publication in a mass communication medium. The presentation ceremony is held in Tokyo in February, where the winner will give a 30 minute lecture.

Nomination Process

A complete nomination package will include:

  • The nominator's reasons for recommending the candidate, focusing on relevant achievements to date (500 words)
  • Research Keywords
  • Subject, purpose, budget and schedule of the research project to tbe undertaken during the funding period
  • Details of the nominee's ten most significant publications

Nominations must be endorsed by an executive head of the institution. Nomination endorsement can be secured through Research Development and Services.  Final nomination packages must be mailed to the Mihara Cerebrovascular Disorder Research Promotion Fund.

Deadline

The final nomination deadline is October 30, 2015.
