Simons Investigators Programs �� 2016

Simons Investigators in Mathematics, Physics, and Theoretical Computer Science and in the Mathematical Modeling of Living Systems receive $100,000 per year for five years, plus $10,000 per year to their department (renewable for an additional five years). The programs provide long-term support to exceptionally active, creative researchers as they develop into intellectual leaders in their fields, allowing them to undertake creative new investigations. Nominees are judged largely on their potential for future innovative scientific contributions. Appointments begin August 1, 2016. The new Math+X Investigators program ($300,000/a for 5a; renewable for an additional 5a) aims to encourage novel collaborations between mathematics and other science and engineering disciplines by funding the establishment of programs at their interface. Appointments begin July 1, 2016.

Recognizes those who have made extraordinary contributions to the sustainable development of human societies, especially through groundbreaking innovations in science and technology.

A nomination form
A Citation of up to 20 words
Description of outstanding accomplishments (max. 2 pages)
Record of major professional work experience
List of honours and awards
List of 5 most significant publications
3 letters of reference

Nomination forms and supporting documents are to be sebt to the Tang Prize Selection Committee via registered air mail or DHL in the return envelope provided to RD&S. Electronic submission are not accepted.

Deadline

The final submission deadline is September 30, 2015 (postmarked).
