April 7, 2023: The Western Academy Welcomes Dr. Frédéric Chavane

 

Dr. Frédéric Chavane (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Institut de Neurosciences de la Timone) studies the neurology of vision.  An internationally-recognized expert in the visual cortex, Chavane has investigated many different aspects of visual processing, ranging from the study of single neurons to the dynamics of large-scale neural populations.  His work appears in Nature, Science, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and Neuron.  Beginning on Tuesday, April 4, he will be joining the "Mathematics of Neural Networks" theme for a week of research collaboration.

Chavane will be sharing his latest research findings on April 6 in WIRB 3000 at 4:00pm.
